7.2.2016 [charlie creeps]

charlie creeps, dandee

weeds, invasive nature

taking back its own

nettle, spotswood,

foxglove, hardened

grasses

to weed seems impossible

the hoe sticking with

every stroke, pulling

at muscles until the ache

screams.

it’s only when you get

down on all fours

level with the dirt

that progress is possible.
