the lone ranger has galloped away – July 6

7.6

the lone ranger has galloped

away, into that sunset where

memories go to sit on the

shelf until we need them

again.

when heroism and sacrifice

come back into fashion

because the ways of the

cynic have lost their

comedy

and we need something

to raise up hope in a

dark time somewhere

beyond our own gripes

and pain.

return with us now, now,

to those days of yester

year, that fed our hearts

and knew

that we were souls.
