faces – April 24

faces around tables

that don’t listen

faces that relate

the passing time

faces who once upon

the once were children

faced that have paused

only to rhyme.

faces of the aged

and forgotten

friends who knew

the way once, way

back when

faces that will pass

away eventually

come to hear their

echoes now again.
