hey big boy – August 4

8.3.2014

forest glade primeval

dark, bare stream wending,

older trees down, roots

lifted out of the softened earth

by summer squalls.

breathe in, pause.

one barred owl calls

and a lady love replies.

hey big boy, I’m

over here.

the way it was

meant to be.
