churches close up,

fall vacant, stop

trying. and where

is God

away, absent, busy

elsewhere, while we

took too much

for granted

and Jesus went to

where voices and

hearts are open

still

while the world walks

backward into the

thinly veiled

dangers

of secular illusion.
