exuberance – June 6

the grasses have taken

wood pine and buckthorn

thistle and wild weed

exuberant witness to

life’s every flow

upward and outward

pushing and calling

yelling in silence

our rooting’s below.

sun come and rain

wash and wind spread

me further. I dance to

a master my only

heart knows.

wilder and deeper

slower and faster

this urge knows no

boundary, I was

born it to show.
