mated pairs – April 16

4.16.2016

trumpeter swans

nestle atop the

muskrat house

built of weeds

along our

path.

we step carefully,

quietly, so to not

bother them as

we pass, look,

and hold

hands.

it’s said that if

the female

dies, the

male will

remain

alone.

mated

for life.
